QuantX Mail is run by a single operator (contact: mail@quantx.email). The server is a virtual machine at Infomaniak in Switzerland, and all mail and logs are stored there. An encrypted backup is also kept (see below).
Like any mail server, ours logs connections so it can deliver mail and stop abuse. These logs include IP addresses, sender and recipient addresses, message IDs, and successful or failed logins. They are kept for 7 days and then deleted. An IP address that fails to log in repeatedly is blocked automatically for a limited time. Spam-filter results (scores, but not message content) are logged for the same 7 days.
When you send mail through our server, your device's IP address may appear in the message headers that recipients see.
There are no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party cookies. Webmail sets only the cookies it needs for your login session. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't scan your mail for any purpose other than spam and virus filtering on our own server.
The webmail includes optional OpenPGP features. If you use them, your browser may look up public keys at keys.openpgp.org, and the webmail links to Mailvelope (mailvelope.com). Those services then see your IP address and the address being looked up. Mail you send to other providers (Gmail, Outlook and so on) is handled under their policies.
You can ask for a copy of your data, or for your account and mailbox to be deleted, by writing to mail@quantx.email. Copies in backups age out on the schedule above. We will only disclose data where Swiss or other applicable law requires it.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and tell early-test users by email.
The privacy notice for the QuantX Mail mobile app is still at mail.quantx.email/privacy.html.
